About Laura

Since 2017, I have taught visual arts, photography, and digital design at the middle and high school levels. When the Covid-19 pandemic caused me to translate my in-person curriculum to an accessible digital approach, I discovered an enjoyable challenge that blended my interests and experience in design and curriculum development.

Outside of education, I also find inspiration in creating my own art with printmaking, embroidery, and bookbinding. It’s rare to not see me in the middle of two or three projects at a time. When I’m not working or making art, I love to spend time with my cat, Senator Pogo Sticks; play video games; and search for Austin’s best breakfast taco.
